Reencountering high school is a challenge for me -- even as an idea. I have appreciated Mike Chase's comments & given the reassurance that it's not about me I will be there Friday. I have lived in Atlanta, AnnArbor Michigan, SiouxCity Iowa, Berkeley California & have been back in Atlanta since 2003. I've been in & out of schools -- either teaching or as a student -- most recently the Unitarian Universalist seminary in Berkely. I now do small group ministry in a variety of financially unstable forms -- very wonderful, very alive, very poor. I will be there Friday. For me, it will be about you -- I wonder what the wild 40 years since we graduated have grown you into. I'm shier than I used to be. I wonder if I am really as different as reading thru all this makes it seem to me that I am. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. |

Comment: I have been happily married to Kathryn (BHS 69) for 36 years with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I continue to work within a few miles of the high school at Wimberly, Lawson, Steckel, Schneider & Stine. I am living proof that one can learn anything. If anybody remembers my total lack of rhythm, they would be astonished that I now am a competitive ballroom dancer. |

Comment: Sandy (nee Hull; Lakeside 1969) and I have been married for 21 years and 80 days and we have one son Brian, 19. After many years in academic research, I have recently left the Department of Pathology at Emory for a new position at the NIH. I am temporarily orphaned in Bethesda, MD and during this relocation I have been a little out of touch. Sandy will soon be leaving her position as a graphic designer at Fulton County, and is excited about her new life of retirement and eating Bon Bons in the Washington DC area. This is an awesome website. Congratulations and well done to the organizing committee. Can’t imagine a better reunion and we’re so sorry we won’t be able to attend. Really should consider getting a copy of the “News of All Sorts” section to George Lucas as an idea for a screenplay. Does anyone remember Mrs Newton’s Latin Class or Ms Davis’ Physics Class? |

I've lived in Gainesville, GA for 22 years. I'm no longer married but have three great kids-two sons and a daughter. all in Georgia colleges. Nowadays I stay active volunteering with Hospice and the Humane Society and have rung handbells at church for 10 years. I travel as much as possible, mostly to New York in the past year. My years in the work force (after two seasons of professional dancing right after college) were in real estate and later as a travel agent. After I moved to Gainesville I stayed at home with my children. Now I substitute teach from time to time, mostly in the high school. This is a super website and I've really enjoyed reconnecting with classmates this way! |

After BHS I got married, worked, went to Ga. State & law school; raised children & spend some time with the grandchildren. Enjoy writing - first novel was Express Malice (www.ExpressMalice,com) and working on others. |
