Barons & Baronettes

Can anyone guess who this is?

We know now!

Pat Meyer (Hubbard)

Marital status: Married
Occupation: Attorney
Comment: Hard to believe it has been almost 50 years.  Have thought about my BHS classmates often. Have been fortunate to stay in touch with some.

Have lived in SC for many years. Our parents moved to a golf community in Sarasota when they retired. My sister now lives in Birmingham. It feels a bit strange having no family left in Atlanta because I will always think of it as my home town.

While at BHS I gained just enough writing skills sending notes to classmates (and a few advocacy skills because they were often intercepted) to make it through law school.  Have worked as a public sector attorney for the past 20 years. When we are not at our day jobs my spouse and I work as reserve deputues for a local law enforcement agency. Steve is a training instructor. I  finally channeled my lifelong love of horses into something useful by serving in the mounted patrol unit.

We married late in life so had no children-but we've more than made up for it by adopting several horses and hounds. Most are retired police horses or rescues in training to become police horses. We have two beloved hounds.

Many thanks to those who made this website possible. Stumbled across it about the time I turned 65. It is awesome to see that most of us are still young at heart and living life to the fullest. Best wishes to everybody!

Comment: Married for 30 years.  Have a beautiful daughter in college.  I have been a physician with the federal government for the past 30+ years, last 15 with federal law enforcement.  We have moved all over the US with the gov and now live in Peachtree Corners/Norcross.  We love to travel and eat well.  As others, I can't believe that it has been 40 years--reading the snapshots of others made me want to contribute mine.  Thanks for the memories.

Comment: I've been enjoying the casual life in the Key's since '93 and guess I am truly a Key's girl now, since I wanted to include a fish and boat in the photo!! I thank the reunion committee for their time and work - so we can have a weekend of memories... old and new. Look forward to visiting with everyone.

Comment: Janet and I have been married for 34 years. After 15 years in Hawaii, we returned in 2001 to the South Carolina Coast, where we started out together in'73.

With the exception of a brief return to Atlanta, we have bounced around from island to island since getting out of Ga. Tech.

I was driven by surfing opportunities in equal or better proportion to career choices. I'm still returning to surf the North Shore [ Oahu ] frequently. I was fortunate to run a 60,000 acre cattle ranch on the island of Molokai for 9 years. Great surf there.

We have a son James 16, and Daughter Marion, who just graduated from Sewanee and is starting work in Atlanta. Many thanks to the organizers of this event. GREAT DVD!

Comment: Our high school years were some of the best years of my life.  I am excited about renewing old friendships and catching up with everyone.  Thanks so much to the committee for all your work in getting us together.

Since I signed on to the website months ago I have had very little time until recently to update or read all the entries.  I am enjoying it so much now and am excited about our reunion.  I have been back and forth to Atlanta to care for my mother who passed away several weeks ago.  My Dad still lives on Knollwood Terrace where they have resided for 51 years.  Rick King (BHS class of 66) and I have been married for almost 38 years!  We have 3 grown children - Kevin 30; Katie 26; and Kerry 24.  Kevin resides close to home and is currently looking for employment.  Katie is a speech pathologist in Durham.  Kerry is a nurse at Duke hospital and is starting grad school this week to get her nurse practitioner degree with a specialty in oncology.  I was a stay at home mom for all of their growing up years except for substitute teaching and volunteering.  I now tutor again and enjoy volunteering still along with playing tennis.  We have lived in North Carolina for 29 years.  Can't wait to renew old friendships.

Comment: Where did this 40 years go? We are still in Boston since 1973, where my husband of 39 years is still on the radio doing the morning show at Magic 106.7 [air name and all that anyone knows him by is Mike Addams]. Never a dull moment as we are constantly involved with concerts , charities and promotions. Otherwise,we are flying back and forth to London where our daughter,Christy, and her British musician husband, Jake, live. She is a writer and has a theatre company....no grandchildren as yet!  We were quite thrilled when she was invited to perform for Queen Elizabeth's birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace. So sorry to be missing the reunion, but we will be in London until after Labor Day. Thanks to the committee for such a great web site.
Take care, Jan O'Shields Kulz
